As I see it, they were quoting me, except for Nekomimikun. (Are we surprised that he cheered you on? No.) You and I both had the same misinformation, but mine came first. Most of the comments quoted my "straight as an arrow" phrase, and it's pretty clear who my unnamed source is, even before you confirmed it.

I think your leaving is the wrong answer, though. You should come back. You don't have to pretend that nothing happened. But trust me, most the forumites will forget this happened as soon as the thread dies. The ones that don't like you too much, anyway.
