Freight Train Kills 2 In Bucks County

Two Penndel men are dead after being struck by a freight train weighing 8-thousand tons. It happened in Middletown Township, Bucks County.
The two men were walking southbound on one of three sets of tracks when a CSX freight train saw them. The engineer began blowing his horn and signaling. Sergeant Robert Burnett of Middletown Township Police:
"They were walking on the tracks, actually physically on the tracks, and they gave no heed to the engineer's signal that he was behind them, they never turned around to face the train."
The bodies were dragged more than a hundred feet by the eight-thousand ton train. The train itself traveled another one and a half miles before stopping. Police and residents say there have been a number of fatalities on this stretch of track, despite "no trespassing" signs along side.
Please note that the train took over one and one half miles, to STOP.
The message is clear, DO NOT TRESSPASS ON RAILROAD PROPERTY! You can be killed.
