In a little over 48 hours, from when I post this, Teri and I will be sitting down at the table and signing our lives away, to take possession of the house. :=3

So, in 2 days I will be come a home owner for the first time. After this there is only one more "big step" for me to take in my life. That will occur after Teri sorts out some matters regarding her divorce.

BTW, we were looking at getting a spa. You know one of those 5-6 person outdoor jacuzzi things. However the price was way too steep, >$3500 new, for us to even consider buying one now. Well, it seems that Saturday, on the way back from the CMSL, where Teri got her first taste of working on a cafe car (she liked it), we passed a late running yard sale. We stopped and I immediately saw a small lion plush ($1), and we picked up a lamp for the bar area ($6). What caught our eye though was a spa, like the types we were looking at. I did a quick look over and noticed that there was no pump. No biggie in my mind, as you can get them for not too much money ($200 - $300 or so), but otherwise it seemed in great shape. We talked it over and thought it would be nice. As Teri looked at the lamp I walked over to ask the cost of the spa. The response nearly had Teri picking me up off the ground. They only wanted $50.00 for it! You read that right: fifty dollars. I told Teri and I nearly had to pick her up off the ground. Needless to say that I couldn't get the word "Sold!" out of my mouth fast enough. They wanted $20 for the box of chemicals that went along with it. We will pick it up on Friday or Saturday, when we will have a truck and can place it in our yard, near the pool. :=3

I inquired about the pump and they said they had it around, somewhere. It does work, put they can't find it. I can only assume that they winterized it last winter, then decided they didn't want, or need, the spa. They didn't have the directions, but I have a feeling they are with the pump.

The spa does come with a cover, though it is a little worse for the wear, but nothing that can't be repaired or recovered.
So, total spent Saturday, at the yard sale, was $76.00. Some lamps cost more than that. :=3

If we keep getting the stuff we want, at fantastic deals, we might have to open Lion & Tiger Bed and Breakfast, as everybody will want to visit and not want to leave. :=3

Again, watch this space for the house warming date and time, where the spa may be up and running. :=3

Bah, I would've visited and not left your old place, you know that :)

Good luck with it all though, hopefully I should be able to see you again sometime next year. Well, if all things go according to plan, need to plan my invasion plans ;)

Must be nice owning your own home there. I mean.. that's when you can literally say MY house, MY rules and mean it as it all belongs to yoooou~ XD

.....Although a spa does seem a little extravagant there ya know.

[Then again, you're a lion. The question is, why WOULDN'T you have one. XP]

Whoa, deals and more deals. Sounds like you've scored big on the home improvement end of things. Just be careful with the transport and setup. You don't want this prize to get away.
