Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mooncat, [livejournal.com profile] artair, my brother and Barbra, his S.O., we got everything, other than some large outdoor items, moved on Sunday. We lucked out in that it did not rain while we were doing the move. It started to drizzle lightly when we were closing the door on the last load, but it abated when we got to the new house. :=3

Yesterday the container and my '75 Scamp, which I plan to restore, were moved, and [livejournal.com profile] teriv and I cleaned up the house and moved those outdoor items.

The only thing left is to change mailboxes, as mine is larger than normal and is somewhat "customized". The phones are turned on in the new house, I just have to get the "office" set up and the computer put back together so I can access the 'net from home.

So, 200/208 Malaga Park Drive is history, and Teri and I are settling down in the new place.

It is nice to be able to go home and say, "Yes! This is ours. No more landlords!" It is also nice to have a place for everything, and, eventually, everything in its place. Having a workshop is a great plus.

Next weekend we will be emptying the container so that can be removed.

As for Maggie, my cat, she is slowly getting accustomed to the new place.

Now, for the news that was promised: The tentative date for the house warming is Saturday, October 28. :=3
This will be a combination Hallowe'en/House Warming party, so fur suits/costumes will be welcomed.

As the date gets closer I will post the start time, but I expect it to be around 2p and last 'til whenever. For those that want to, we will have plenty of room for those that need/want to stay over. We will have beds/chairs for 5-7 people and plenty of floor space for those that want/need to use it.

Directions, for those that don't have GPS will be forthcoming.

To all, be well, as this lion and his tigress start settling down in their new home. :=3

You mean to say, there are those without GPS? Like, in this country?

Glad to hear the rain held off and didn't make the move any more complicated than necessary. Good luck with the rest of the unpacking. To be honest, I still have boxes from my move six and a half years ago that I still have to deal with (and probably toss/recycle most of what are in those boxes). Chores for a rainy day, I guess.

Would love to go but I have a gig on that day. Best wishes. I see that your new location is also not far from the Wawa store. :)
