This time a quickie Poser render of all three (four) of my characters:

As always, click on pic. ;=3

From left to right: Lowen Kind from Jade Claw; Leo and Don from the first adventure of this campaign, and finally Simba from the current adventure.

All of them are to the same scale and are standing on the ground. You can't see the "ground" as I used the "front" camera in Poser and that deletes the ground plane. :=/

How do you do the poses... is it entering a bunch of numerical commands for points on the wireframe along an XYZ axis in 3D, or...?

I might finally download some of this stuff (I know you use what, 4 seperate programs for all this, especially with Tiff and company?), as long as it's free... though given I have an old Dell I don't know if I can wait 6-9 hours for a render... heh...

The posing, at least with Poser and Studio are done with dials. After I come home I'll do a screen grab of both interfaces.

I can use up to six programs:

AutoCAD 2000: to create to scale props and buildings
Poser 6 or 7: for basic posing of figures
Studio: (occasionally) to convert to .obj file so Bryce can import posed figures
True Space 3: (I need to update this)(very occasionally) to do painting of surfaces on the .obj files
Bryce 6.1: for landscapes and final rendering
Paint Shop Pro 8: for touch up and re-sizing. This program is ther same as PhotoShop in most respects.

To do just the basic posing and quickie renders (less than an hour or so) stay with Poser or Studio. You can probably find Poser 5 on e-bay at a good price. There is a lot of freebie stuff available for both Poser and Studio
