Update on my appointment
Jun. 11th, 2002 03:20 pmOk, here's the low down:
I go to the appointment and meet with a very nice young lady. She asked me some pointed questions, which I expected.
At the end of the interview she says, "Well I have good news and bad news." I'm prepared for what she's going to say, because I have an inkling of what she's thinking.
The good news is, I'm what they called "midly depressed". I got a score of 12 out of 22. That is right on the border between "Borderline" (6-12) and "Mildly Depressed (12-17).
Bad news is, I'm not depressed enough for the study. I expected as much. Given my "care free" style of answering questions and my ready laugh, you can see why I was ready for that outcome.
It sems they want people who are very depressed. Depressed to the point that if they haven't lost thier jobs, they're about to, have no friends and have very little in a support group. All of which is in direct opposition of me and my life.
I did ask her about St. John's Wort. She came this close, ||, to giving it her unconditional support. She said for me to take it, as it couldn't hurt and shre has heard many good things about it.
So I guess I'll give it a try and see what happens.
So it's back to life as usual for this lion. ;=3
