New job update
Jun. 27th, 2002 09:42 amI just talked to my new boss and it is like this:
The schedule runs from Sunday/Monday to Thursday/Friday. :=3
So, AC is a go for the full weekend. I won't be able to do anything Sunday night, but that may change if he has nothing scheduled.
Also, next week he will take it easy on me, so I can finish my last week at McD's without being too tired for them. So the weekend is a go with no problems. ;=3
He is so short handed that he wanted me to work last night, but I had told him that it wasn't possible due to me having to pressure wash the sidewalks at night for McD's, again(don't worry I got out at 11:45p). He offered to help me so that I could get done early so he would have my help. ;=3
Speaking of McD's, the manager wasn't happy that I only gave her a week's notice, but she understood. At least I gave her notice and just didn't hand in my uniforms and said, "So long. I'm finished here."
One thing sort of bugs me about McD's is that they knew that this may happen, though for different reasons, and they still didn't try to get a morning maintenance guy. They hired one for evenings, but that doesn't help in the morning. :=/
Oh, well.
I will miss working with some of the employees there, but I will not miss the aggravation.
I saw the senior district exec. mamanger for McDCorp today. There is a big inspection, and I told her that I was leaving and why. I also told her that this new job doubled my current pay rate. She was sad to see me go and she said, in regards to the pay rate, "Well Debbie can't match that. We could've done something, but not double your pay." So, she wanted to see me stay also. She also asked about me working weekends, and I said that was not possible due to my commitments to the railroad. All she said was, in a sad tone, "Oh."
I do have a feeling the 5th of July will be a party for me in sense, but I may be wrong. There are a lot of workers there that don't want to see me go. ;=3
