A FRIEND! has passed on. ;={
Mar. 2nd, 2003 11:54 amTo preserve the privacy of the one who passed on and my friend's "mate" I will not be using any names. Though, those that know the couple, know of whom I write.
I got a call about 10a from my friend's mate, who is also a dear FRIEND!, saying that the friend had passed away while sleeping, with no pain.
My friend had been ill for sometime now, and I believe everyone was praying for the best, but expecting this.
When my friend's "pet" had to be "put down" I knew it was a matter of time for my friend. I saw it as God's way of saying my friend would be following soon after and the "pet" would be waiting for my friend on the other side of the "Rainbow Bridge".
I am at a loss for my friend's mate. The mate is holding up well, but for how long is uncertain. To that friend I say, I don't know if you read this, but be sure that you have many FRIENDS! that are here for you, any time, day or night.
You have one very close FRIEND!, in many ways, basically right next door to you. He is expecting you to call on him, I'm sure. Don't keep your emotions bottled up, for they will sure to eat you from the inside. Take it from someone who knows, the hard way.
Also, my friend, I wish I could take your pain away so you can remember the joyous times. It pains me to see my friends hurting, and knowing I can't do anything to ease their pain. You have my phone number. Use it to call and rant, cry, curse me out for being alive. It doesn't matter, for I know you are hurting and need to let your emotions out. All your FRIENDS! know this as well.
Your mate is now at peace and in God's Grace. Your mate will no longer feel the pain and have to fight that terrible battle that had been going on for some time now.
Don't see your mate's death as an ending, see it as a new beginning. For death is not only the end of our mortal life, but the beginning of our life everlasting in the glory of God Himself.
To my FRIEND!, who has gone to be in God's Grace, I will miss you, as many others will.
You graced me with your presence a few times at my house, and at AC. You had also graciously allowed me into your home when I was in the area.
Please be assured that I will look after your mate as best as I can, given the distances between us.
I wish I could more accurately put the feelings that I have into text, but that is not to be.
While I grieve with the one left behind, I also feel joy for the one who left and is now bathing in the glory and Grace of God, in that Paradise that is known as Heaven.
