Notes about my renders
Mar. 21st, 2013 08:57 amI just want to remind people that most of the models I use in my renders are not my creations.
Some minor things, like the police light in Bear in the air, I create and will mention that fact. Of the larger creations like the hotel, A-Frame house, the Lion's Den, I create with AutoCad 2000 and that fact will be listed with the programs used. I will "re-skin" the models to give them an unique look. One example is anything with a SJ&W paint scheme.
I want to be perfectly clear on this as I do not want people to assign to me more talent than I have and to make sure people realize that I used readily available models for my work.
While some people might claim I'm not an artist, because I use pre-made models, I argue the point because I still have to know lighting, composition, blocking and how everything "works together" in a scene. That is not as easy as it may seem to appear. There are many renders I have given up on as I could not make the scene look "right".
