I think I lost Maggie.
I got up to check the mail and she was near the recliner I sit in. After I got back in I went to look for her and I couldn't find her. I have checked all of her normal hiding places and no dice.
I made dinner, a time when she shows up looking forlorn and, you guessed it, no Maggie.
The kitchen door wasn't latched tight, though that hasn't meant anything before. I shook her treats bottle while calling her name. Not even a mew.
I did a quick search outside and I didn't spot her. All I can hope is that she gets thirsty, hungry, or lonely and starts crying, if she is outside. Fortunately I gave her a flea and tick dose this morning.
I pray I'll find her, but I have a sinking feeling I won't.
Maggie, I love you and don't want anything bad to happen to you.
EDIT: Just as I thought. After I went outside to get the mail, I came inside and looked in the living room and there was Maggie jumping up on the couch like nothing was wrong. So she has not left me, though I have no idea where she was.
