Well, I'm batting 0 for 2. :={

I checked the early version of the Sunday paper and no article. :={

I called the manager of the store to tell her I wouldn't be in. She asked why and I told her what happened. She then proceeded to tell me unless I had doctor's note I would be "suspended". I asked why. She then told me that I would be the fourth to call out today and effective at noon she started suspending people who called out without a doctor's note. She was tired of employees not wanting to work on the weekend.

She seemed to understand my problem, but she just couldn't spare anyone else. She also informed me that one crew member had been scheduled to close tonight (get out around 2a) and to open tomorrow (be at the store at 4:50a). Well, there is no way that is going to happen and they will need him tomorrow, so she had to call another employee in to cover. :=/

It wouldn't be so bad except that Mickey D's is running a couple promotions and the store is very busy. :=/

Oh, well. Tomorrow is another day and I have to work at the railroad doing track work.

Please, dear Lord, 3 inches of snow in lower Cape May County is all I ask. :=3

Wow, I don't have the intestinal constitution to work in a place like that. Let alone having a sliced finger while handling food like that. Is it true that if you squeeze the uncooked hamburger patties that they return to their original shape, you know, like a sponge?
(Oh, and how did you set up the layout at the top of your page? I can't get mine to work the way I want it to...)
Let's just hope it snows for you. ^_^
(All I need now is a drawing to have as my pic.)

No, we don't have to "squeeze" the burgers. They are frozen pre-formed and all we do is put them on the grill and hit a couple of buttons. At the end of the cooking cycle we just season them w/ salt & pepper (pre-mixed in a shaker), lift them off the grill and put them in a holding tray.

I will probably end up wearing "gloves" tonight. That was one reason I wanted to call out. :=/

For the record McDonald's is actually a pretty good place to work. In fact corporate will shut down a store before the board of health will. They are that strict when it comes to their image and food safety. We actually have to wash our hands at least once an hour, even if all we do is touch food, as in making sandwiches. Even the drive thru people are supposed to wash their hands between customers.

BTW, I work at a corporate owned store, not a franchised one.

As for the style of my page, I use the "Tabular Indent" style that is located on your "Modify Journal" page.

Ah, they were rumors I heard at school. I knew that they were pre formed, but I heard that if squeezed, they go back to their pre-formed shape. But it must be a rumor.

Thanks for telling me. I almost have my colours set up. But, that will be a later date when they're done.

(I just really need to find a pic. Maybe I'll make a picture of Ryan Tegir, or Nekomimi-kun, or create a new one.)

Oh! Would it be okay if I add you to my friends list? ^_^

Gah! Well that sucks!

If it's any consolation, I bought you a present today. :) But you're going to have to wait until it can be delivered in person to see what it is. -TG

Friends list.
