This time an EB NJ Transit MU set.

A couple of minutes after the Acela went past a New Jersey Transit MU set passed by on track 1, doing about 80.
Note that I didn't know it was there until the engineer blew his horn, as I was facing away from him, waiting for a westbound train to get closer.

I wasn't fouling the track, but he wanted to let me know he was there. Even when you are attuned and alert for trains, these electrics can and will sneak up on you. They are deadly quiet.

Most of the NEC is fenced, but it doesn't matter.

People have told the media they cut holes in the fencing so they can cross the tracks to take shortcuts.

Also, if you have grade crossings there are gaps in the fence as there are at stations. In fact not too few suicides have occurred at passenger stations.

What you need is someone to show how to do a Quick Strong Fence Repair, I use to work over in Crydon, PA and the HI speed train was right next to a place I use to work at in the 80' and some day I would be near it and when it came by I would Jump out of my skin, when I use to see the Kids play chicken with it..

What they need is a Better Secure Rail line, there I good 3D thing you can try, build a better Train Track..
I have for year dreamed up a drop guard fence for the subway station, Train Pulls up it Drops down, Train gets ready to leave, it goes up.. Just needs to be designed Cheap but sturdy.. Sorry for the Rant it 3:24am
