Hospital bills and cons

Well, I went to the hospital's financial counselor today to see what could be done with my bill.

After a few minutes of her typing things into the computer, and copying the paperwork she requested, she put a folded ID card in a vinyl holder and said, "You are 100% covered. You don't owe a dime. This card is good for one year. Just show it when you enter the ER and all costs are covered. What did you do about the ER Physicians and Radiology bills?"
"I'm taking a loan out to cover them." Not really true as my mother and aunt were going to pay them.
She gave me a dirty look and said, "When you get those bills make a copy of that card and send it, along with the bill, to the addresses provided. Those bills are fully covered."

I couldn't thank her enough. So until 31 May, 2004 I can walk into any of 3 hospitals and not pay a dime in medical costs. ;=3

So my con schedule is back to full steam, as long as I'm not blindsided by other large bills. :=3
