How compatible with me are YOU?

Some observations. Though I noted I was looking for a female, the first 13 people are males. Also, I asked for people within a 50 mile radius. That's a mighty large 50 miles they use, because Lecoto is in North Dakaota, Ion Otter is in the "Aloha State", and Skipai is in "Merry Ol' England"! :=/

I noticed the same BUT when went to the specifics list for other than friends it was entirely female. I got the feeling that the LJ friends list disreguards the entire searching for area.

I believe that just gives you the biggest comparison with your friends list without taking those preferences into mind. There's another section on the site where you can browse through people who fit into your criteria.

Obviously the way in which that thingummy determines proximity is faulty. I'm in Texas, right on the Rio Grande, which is hardly 50 miles from New Jersey!
