While waiting for a render, for the AnthroCon 2013 Con Book, to finish I began wondering about the eye's resolution.

I am rendering the scene at 600 dpi, and I am wondering what the human eye's resolution is in dpi, if it can be measured as such.

I'm pretty sure the data exists out there somewhere; I don't know what it is, tho. Ask Mr. Google!

I think the problem is, DPI at one distance is fine, but up closer you can see the dots again. So there's no single number possible unless the world uses the same distance from the eye. This neglects the differences in people's vision too.
