At my place of employment it is no secret that I'm a fur.
For one thing the crews for the Pennsylvanian used to stay at the Westin in Pittsburgh. I take the train to AC and have to wear my pass in the open. I also wear a DI fursuit tag to identify myself to any other furs, so the train crews know I'm a fur. I don't flaunt it, but I don't hide it either.

Today I was helping to do tests between consoles and over the air. At one point I had to change locations and my manager quipped, "Don't fall in any man holes." There is ongoing construction where I was.
I replied, "Aw, you're no fun."
His response was, "Don't get your paw caught in any traps." The last was said with a slight chuckle.
So, it is nice to know they accept my being a fur with humor.

Later I called him on the phone and thanked him for being so accepting of my hobby.
His response was matter of fact, "You are what you are."

So, at least in my case, being a fur is not cause for concern at my place of employment. In fact, some of the other employees may even joke good naturedly about it. :=3
