Book Cover Lion

This is my version of the cover for Jack Hamm's How To Draw Animals, as shown below:


I tried to get as close to the pose as I could, and I know the angle of view is wrong, as the cover is rotated a bit, but I think I came close. The cover does not include the tail nor has all the "parts" in the groin area, as it is a family oriented book.

Looks good to me, although I think the tail might work better curled to the side, not hanging down where it is. Shadow effect is good.

I do like that he is anatomically correct.
