These picture were taken at 3:45p this afternoon when the air temp was 27F or -2.8C .

In the first pic you are looking into my backyard, which you cannot see the end of. All those woods belong to me. :=3

The reason why the windshield wipers are raised in the second pic is to keep them from freezing to the windshield in case the snow melts and then refreezes as ice. The shed belongs to my neighbor, while the car is mine and is basically right on the property line. The line of small evergreens is on the property line.

I would very much like to visit your place, if ever the means becomes possible (like if I win the lottery).

Sensible idea, re the windscreen wipers. I always wondered why most wipers were built with the feature to have them moved away from the glass - I just assumed it was to assist during cleaning.

Is that set of warning lights ornamental?

Also, in the first photo, what's that dark, rounded object two thirds of the way up the tree? Is that a bird house?

The grade crossing lights can be made to operate. I just haven't got around to wiring them up. And, yes, that is a bird's nest in the tree, built by a bird.
