I found out this morning that I'm out of voice minutes on my phone. They won't reset until June 3rd. I can buy more time if I had money. Of course I need the minutes to hear from any jobs.

Also no word from any jobs.

One bright spot is that I can get my truck back if I pay it off by May 25th. Like that will happen as I will need ~$15K to do that. :=/

Is it no wonder that I feel that I'm actively being blocked from getting a job or I am being punished for something.

I noticed that you ignored my email regarding a job at Verizon and that you didn't answer my comment in a previous journal about Verizon either. Not sure why. Did you try them yet?

I'm sorry Xian. I've been busy trying to get my life together.

As for Verizon, I feel that is a no-go. As I am a card carrying member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), I feel my life would not be worth two cents if I crossed their picket lines.

As for the e-mail are you using lionkingcmsl@gmail.com? That is the only one that works for me.

I...don't get this.

You are out of work, and desperately need work.
Verizon needs workers, because the ones they used to have weren't satisfied with their $35 an hour jobs (holy crap! I've never made close to that), and are mad because the company is making them chip in for their health care coverage for the very first time ever, due to the rising costs of Obamacare. (Layoffs? Forget that issue. The corporation already offered them immunity from layoffs due to outsourcing, they turned it down).

Your life is perfectly safe crossing the picket line. They can't do anything, and the cops are there ensuring worker's safety.

This economy is in the dumps, people are out of jobs everywhere...things are bad, and these workers with great jobs have the gall to strike out of sheer greed or refusal to change, or be open to commuting or a bit of travel?? (The travel thing is so weird. I love traveling for my job. I don't get why someone would strike because they might be called out for an over-night travel job).

I think you're losing out on a great opportunity if you don't at least try Verizon.

Oh, BTW, I was using the snip.net email (the same one as your PayPal addy). I assumed that one worked, since it was connected to your paypal. I guess you never got the email with the link in it to Verizon's job postings.

The job in New Jersey is up in Jersey City. However, they do have an opening in Philly, so I applied for that position. :=3
