Pawpet Funday Show
Apr. 5th, 2004 09:05 amFirst many thanks to Yappy Fox and crew for allowing me to be part of the show last night.
They have a great time while doing the show. There is much interaction between everyone and a lot of laughter behind the scenes at the jokes, irc chat and when there is a small flub tech wise.
Speaking of small, you cannot easily put more than two puppeteers behind that stage. 8=0
If it is 6' long it would be large. They also have a vertiable zoo of puppets available to them.
As a techno geek I was amazed at the ammount of equipment they use to produce the show. This is not simply a webcam and microphone. They have at least 5 cameras, 2 headsets w/mics (stage use), 3 handheld mics, 1 wireless mic, plus a mic at the main production console. The mics are connected to a very large mixing board and the cameras are tied in through a video patch panel. This does not even begin to mention the various monitors, servers, video players, laptops, etc. they use to produce the show.My hat is off to the entire crew at Pawpet for a very well run and produced show.
As for my time there, I had a lot of fun. :=3
I hope my interview came off well. The interview done by Mutt was totally ad-libbed. I had no idea what he was going to ask or say.
I also thank them for allowing me to use my Folkmanis lion cub puppet in the final fifteen minutes of the show. It was a treat to show him off as he should be used, other than "terrorizing" unsuspecting furs while walking down halls at various cons. ;=3
Again, I had a great time at the show.
I wish I had some extra cash so I could give them the money to build a studio in their backyard. :=3
Thanks again, Yappy. It was great.
