Like I'm going to ...
Jul. 27th, 2004 08:22 amgo to a website and enter my personal info just because I got an e-mail saying that my acccount has been restricted.
I just got such a mail supposedly coming from U. S. Bank. The funny thing is that I do not have an account with that bank! :=0
The e-mail gave itself away with the following (Underlining is mine for emphasis):
Subject line:Fwd: Notification of U.S. Bank Internet Banking Unauthorized Account Access
Portion of body: ... 1. Login to your U.S. Bank Internet Banking account. In case you are not enrolled for Internet Banking, you will have to use your Social Security Number as both your Personal ID and Password.
How's that again? How can there be unauthorized internet account access if I'm not signed up for internet banking?
Actually this one was pretty poor and lame in its trying to get me to enter any information.
Before you ask, yes, I reported the above e-mail, like I do all spoofs trying to get my personal info, to U. S. Bank, and, no, I didn't go to the site linked to.

This is VERY VERY BAD NEWS.
