As I told the Gneech I thought it would be neat to show a top down view of my 3D version of TWH.

So here it is:

Some notes:

1. The long silver things, running left to right, are the HVAC ducts.

2. The black retangles are the 8' long flourescent light fixtures.

3. The "extra" room in the office/storage area is the "janitor's closet". I told the Gneech that the bar needed one, and that was the best place to put it.

4. The reason for the different color doors in the bathrooms is so I can swing them individually.

5. There are no toilets, at this time. :=3

A couple of minor plumbing comments ...

Put the sinks pretty much back to back on the central wall and make it 9" thick. The back wall that the toilets will go on should be 18" thick to allow for the heaver waste line and stuff. If such things apply in the SJ world, the stalls can be the normal 3'x5' but one stall must be 5'x5' and have a 36" door for ADA and you must have a clear floor area outside the stalls of 5'x5'. The toilet in the ADA stall should go 18" off the wall.

(Sorry LK, when you've been doing architecture for almost 30 years noncompliant stuff just jumps out.)

Toilets? I just thought they'd have a big fire hydrant, or at least a big litterbox. ;) *runs away*

I left out any ADA stuff because I felt that anyone that would require them would not last long in the SJ universe (i.e. only the strong survive).

I was thinking of doing a "mirrored" version of the bathrooms, which would make sense with a common "wet wall", but the Gneech's plan shows the doors to be set as I have them. The walls are already 6" thick, though it they could be made thicker. Of course when looking from normal eye level you really can't tell how thick the walls are. :=3

BTW, I know you would pick things like that up. :=3

Yeah, I figured that, as I said "If such things apply..."

True, but you went and showed a plan view. -};>~

Overall, it's a good job.

As I replied to someone else there could be a couple of reasons why the bathrooms are the way they are.

The logic could be that there was only one bathroom and the second was added when the area that is now the bar was converted to what it is now, or that the rear bathroom backs up to another bathroom that is on the other side of the rear wall, but it is not shown.

I like it LK. I'm somewhat surprised at the size but I think I've said that before with some other views you've shown. As we both know from other work trying to make things like this work are not easy especially when the creator has things (like the doors) set in a way that blocks logical alternatives.

I'll just leave it at that. You don't need an engineer as well as an architect pointing out problems.
*grin*
