Wha' time isit?
Nov. 22nd, 2005 12:59 pmI arrived back at home at 3:00a on the dot. :=3
That was ~2hours later than I expected because I stopped for 2 - 1 hour naps. I figure it is better to nap at the side of the road than nap at the wheel and end up possibly sleeping forever.
There were no problems in either direction and, though I haven't figured all my gas mileages out, I average at least 32mpg for the trip. At one point I got >37mpg.
MFF was a blast! I ended up as a Gopher and helping out in various places. I had intended to be part of the fursuit games, in suit, but I ended up being one of the judges/referees. :=3
Actually I'm glad I didn't suit up for the games. There were a lot of suiters and being a judge/referee was a blast.
Being a Gopher also proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, how well known I'm known. :=3
There were a couple of times I was told to do something and tell someone that this had to be done. I also, at various times, lost my Gopher ribbon. It didn't matter. As soon as I showed up and said something it was, "Ok. No problem." I had
rrwolf with me on one occasion and he saw first hand what had happened. I commented to
berin that I can't get away with anything because I'm too well known. ;=3
I also took my full size stuffed lion plush with me on the trip. :=3
It was fun with the double takes I got on the CB and passing cars. Also more than one fur, who visited my room, jaw dropped open when they saw him on my bed. As one fur said, as I was carrying him in, "You win!" Yes, even furs did double takes on the size of "Leo". :=3
There were quite of "railfurs" there and
smrgol_t_kirin and I plan to try to get a panel together for next year.
Shout outs go to all those I met, which is too long to mention here. To those that didn't make it, and normally do attend, you were missed.
And lastly, to my room mates,
quickcasey and
rrwolf, thanks for putting up with me. ;=3
