First, I didn't go into work. I overslept and wasn't feeling to great. :={

It was really great con. One I really wanted to go to so I could meet some of my left coast friends.

After many years I finally got to meet [livejournal.com profile] level_head. You, sir, are very interesting and a gentleman. You are also a saint to put up with the Gneech's crew, especially me. :=3

Yes folks, Level Head does have a silly side, as evidenced with him getting into the scheming of the Gneech's Iron Artist cheating,... er,... planning. :=3

I also got to meet face to face [livejournal.com profile] yaochi, someone who has put up with innumerable phone calls from me, when I'm bored. It was a pleasure to meet, and talk to you in person.

I also meet the following very talented aartists for the frist time: Thomas K. Dye, who does NewsHounds (he also did a con badge for me, as did Vince S. of the old Class M. strip. :=3 ), Albert Temple who does the Gene Catlow strip, Oni of the Napping Cat's Dream. I also met Arc Nova, of NCD, for the first time.

To those that I met for the first time, I hope I did not seem too weird. ;=3

I also met the very talented Andrea Koupal, of the NCD, once again. It was a kick to see the art she did of LK in her portfolio. ;=3

There was the SJ room party, which rocked. I was not feeling quite right, heck my body clock was still 3 hours ahead of party time, and I had gotten up at 4a EST (1a PST) that morning.

I also got a commision done of Altaica Powell, the Siberian tigress WEA/DEF/SEC head of the Lion's Den.

Here it is:

On my monitor the scan does not do the original justice. It was done by Sandra Borg, and it shows Altaca as Albert, her mate, walks in on her getting dressed. Actuaslly there was a screw up, by me, on what I described what she was wearing. I said kimono instead of Gi. Sandra also gave me a sketch of the first idea she had, but it didn't work, in her mind. I'd like to see it finished though.

This photo, by the fun loving [livejournal.com profile] makovette, shows me in the fursuit parade:

Yes, that is a winter coat that I'm wearing, as it is my official Amtrak coat. :=3 You can also see my altered Amtrak ID, that has a pic of LK and his name. :=3

I have some ideas on how to make LK more of the RR'ing lion to anyone that happens to glance his way.

Here are the badges done by, from top to bottom, Vince S. and Thomas K. Dye:

So, all in all, it was a great con, and I will be back for more. ;=3

EDIT: Mako had taken some photos of me, but one came out real dark. I downloaded it and, using PaintShop Pro 8, I adjusted the brightness and contrast. Lo and behold, it reveals me being a techie. :=3

I end up staying in the wings in case something, or someone, needs help. At FC the camera man's cable kept getting hung up on the platform edges and I just naturally grabbed the cable and became his helper. ;=3
Once a techie, always a techie. :=3

Do you remember the blue-and-white pinstriped caps that railroaders wore? Maybe smoething like that might work for LK.

It was good to meet him, and good to see you again. Man, did you do an impressive array of photographs; that camera must still be smoking!

Hey, new mask! Looks good!

Sorry to hear you're sick... welcome to the club.

I need to figure out some trademark like you have as 'the railroading lion'... really. It makes you more approachable and easier to draw.

Great to hear you had a good time and got back safe. Sorry that you came down with con crud on the day after. Hope you can get back to work quickly. Don't want anything to happen to that employment record.

I like the art work. That is a great drawing of Altaca. Really nice and captures a lot of the character.
