Well, it seems that the sellers knew about the problem with the septic system all along. This means that they will have to pay for everything that is related to replacing the system, in full.

It also means that the closing date is still the same, 23rd of August.

That's right, in less than 2 weeks Teri and I will be the owners of a house. :=3

So, unless something very wierd turns up, everything should go as planned. ;=3

Very glad to hear that you've got that squared away. I'd hate to see all that go down the drain when you were so close. I'm sure you'll be keeping us informed as to how the rest of it goes.

Glad to hear that things have been resolved. I'm surprised that the seller's agent didn't make them disclose this more fully. Will the current owners have a new system in place before you move in and will they be able to accomplish that before the settlement date with the county permitting process? Or will there be proceeds in an escrow account for the sole purpose of replacing the septic system? Hope everything "flows" smoothly for the rest of the process!
