"Golden Arches" news
Jun. 29th, 2002 08:25 amOk, this lion has been taken aback.
As I have posted before, a lot of people at McD's don't want to see me leave, but I did not expect the following.
Last night I had to help Tony with a dance. I'm his sound engineer at dances. Well, anyway, I get home around 2:30a and the first of three messages on my answering machine is from the manager at McD's.
I thought, "Oh, oh. What broke now?" Nothing broke as it turned out, but they are making me an offer, that I really have to listen to. It seems that LaShawn, and Carmillo(?sp) also don't want to see me leave. I have posted before that Alex didn't want to see me go.:=3
For reference, the management goes, from lowest to highest: Debbie, LaShawn, Alex, Carmillo. The last three are district managers.
The store went through a "white glove" on Thursday and Friday. I was told on Friday that they were really impressed with the cleanliness and the way the store was operating. The manager was proud of that fact and said it was due to me. I countered and said, "I try, but it is more a reflection on you."
Anyway, when she called last night, she said again about the high praise the store got. Something along the lines of "One of the cleanest, if not the cleanest store they have been in, in a long time." :=3
So that being said, LaShawn and Carmillo have decided to create a job for me in the district. :=0
This would be. I believe, have me managing the maintenance in 6 stores (the 6 stores I'm sure). This also would include a "substantial" increase in pay, plus benefits. That can only mean one thing, I'd be made a salaried manager. :=3
Debbie, who desperately wants to talk to me about this, is on vacation until the 8th of July. She asked me to please not make any final decisions about me leaving McD's until I talk to her. Funny thing is, I already handed in my letter of resignation, and that takes effect on the 5th. :=3
Well, there will be updates on this "breaking new story" as events take place.
I guess, sometimes, nice guys do come in first. ;=3
