As always click on the pics for larger versions.
First Poser:

I like this because it is more "user friendly". The "Transform" menu bar is normally all the way to the right covering most of the "Library" menu bar. I click and switch between them.
Next the Daz Studio interface:

This is not quite as friendly, nor does it have a lot of the features Poser has. I'm sure if you learned on it it would be okay.

Date: 2007-03-28 10:10 pm (UTC)Are there free versions of Poser out there? (Or maybe you could give me what you have...) and do you think it'd be compatable with a other couple programs I was thinking of (povray and moray, I think they're called)...
Certainly would be cool for me to render my own character like you did with yours :) Thanks for the pics.

Date: 2007-03-28 10:45 pm (UTC)It is just one version down from what I'm using. At least you can get an idea of what type of system you need. There is plenty of free stuff for both Poser and Studio (which is free).
As for doing Bugs type stuff, you really need Bryce, or an equivalent program, to get the proper look, however Poser will allow you to do some basic things.
I'm not sure about Poser being compatible with moray or povray, though poser can export to different file format.
If you can make it to the Kid's Expo in Poughkeepsie on April 15th I can show you more on my laptop.

Date: 2007-03-28 11:40 pm (UTC)I never buy stuff from EBay as a rule. I have a hard enough time controlling my finances as it is without EBay to steal my soul on top of it.
*looks at the specs* I barely meet the requirements, it looks like...
