First, due to things beyond our control it looks like the lion and tigress will miss FC, but we may be able, or at least I will be able, to attend FWA.

Don't forget our NYE party. It should be a blast. :3

Friday night Teri and I went to her company's Christmas party, held at the Newark, DE Hilton. There I was able to identify a song and artist (Roger Miller's King of the Road). The prize is a "Lover's Night" on a weekend. This includes a room on the VIP floor with champagne, breakfast, and late checkout. ;=3

We spent the night at the hotel. We then went up to Philly, on Saturday morning, for a special reason. On Wednesday I had won "Front of the Line" VIP passes for the open casting call for Deal or No Deal!!!! :=3

It's a good thing I had gotten those passes. That line was huge. While headed there we stopped at the Pennsylvania Convention Center's main area. This is built into the old train shed of the Reading (pronounced Redding) Railroad's Philly terminal. I showed Teri the stainless strips they inlaid into the floor to show where the tracks had been. This was my first time into the train shed with its grand vaulted roof. I got chills as I thought of the history of where I was standing.
This link http://www.paconvention.com/photos/photog2.asp will take you to the photo gallery page of the PCC. Photos 5, 6, 7 show the grand vaulted roof. :=3

We did okay at the audition and we were told that we might get a call anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years down the line. BTW, [livejournal.com profile] mammallamadevil I put you down as my biggest supporter, after Teri. The reason I picked you is because you are, especially on that side of the country, and I'm sure you wouldn't mind a trip down to Hollywood. :=3

So the RR'ing lion and the tigress may end up on national TV. :=3
Yes, I plan to wear a "Furry Forever" golf shirt. :=3

After the audition Teri and I headed back to the train, as I parked at 30th St., and we decided to wander at the famous Reading Terminal Market, located on the first floor of the Reading Terminal Headhouse. This market is over 100 years old, IIRC. This was also another first for me. I had been past it numerous times, but had never been in it. We decided to eat lunch at one of the many diners in the RTM. The food was great and reasonably priced.

So this past weekend was exciting and was filled with firsts for me. :=3
