FC bound

Well, in a few minutes I will have my train tickets in paw for FC'09. :=3

I'll be travelling coach, with a hope of enroute upgrades. Total cost was, well, I do work for Amtrak, which has its perks. :=3

If you guess $0.00 you are correct. How many can travel coast to coast for nothing but the cost of meals. :=3

BTW, if I had gone with roomettes it would've been ~$1200.00. :=/

I'll leave Philly on the 17th and arrive San Jose on the 20th.
I'll leave San Jose on the 26th and arrive home on the 29th. :=3

So, that's my plan, and I'm sticking to it. Though I may need a place to crash between the 20th and the start of the con. :=3

I've looked into using the train for FC myself, but I could never do it. Nearly a week of traveling is just too large a block of time in transit for me, much as I love to travel. :)

Yes, and they have leg rests also. They're not as comfortable as a bed, but are on par with a living room recliner.

I prefer riding buses or trains over flying anyway. There's a lot more to see along the way.

I'll go to FC in 2013 when I retire. And will take the train of course. We should charter a car.
You can look into getting the fees waved or something.
