McD's update
Jul. 20th, 2002 03:17 pmWell, I went in today to pick up me "last" paycheck. To do that I knew I had to have my uniforms with me, as I had heard nothing from them.
I get up to the counter and the assistant manager says, "Go back to the office."
I walked back there and Debbie asks, "Why do you have your uniforms?"
I explain my reasoning and she says, "I'm awfully sorry, but I've been at the hospital for the past 2 weeks." It seems her mother in-law is hosptialized with stage 4 cancer. It's terminal. :={
Needless to say, we talked and I start back Monday at $12/hour effective rate for salary, and everything is "a-ok". ;=3
It'll be nice to start working again, this time with a bit more authority. :=3
