Status update
Mar. 31st, 2015 07:35 pmFirst of all I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be out of work for near 9 months, which I will be on April 11th. :={
I have applied for public assistance, but that is taking a bit of time. I still haven't got my NJ state income tax refund, even though I filed on-line on Feb. 3rd. I am actively looking for a job, but the economy is not that good; plus I am 57 and have a very specialized skill set. :=/
Thanks to the local food bank I have food, plus that heavy shopping I did back in late Feb. Maggie thanks a few people for kitty litter and food.
My cell phone has been shut off again. I was really hoping for the state to send me my refund, but that didn't happen.
The loan company for the truck has been more than understanding. However, I am 45 days late with payments. If somehow I can come up with ~$300 by the end of the week and pay them that, that will give me a bit more breathing room on the truck. If I lose that then all bets are off and I'm SOOL in getting a good paying job. :=/
It is only by His grace and mercy that I still have the house, the truck and food. Oil is going to run out soon, as is the forbearance on the electric bill, but I can deal with those. Warmer days are coming and I have to April 6th or so before they may shut off the power.
