Thanksgiving
Nov. 26th, 2015 06:19 pmFirst of all, let me wish a happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it today and happy day to everyone else.
Normally I go to my brother's place for dinner, but this year he and his wife were in Florida to share this day with my father and her brother. So that left me to fend for myself. I had been invited to someone's house for dinner, but being I didn't know them all that well, as well as no gas, I declined.
I had a Hatfield honey roasted dinner ham in the freezer and put that in the fridge Tuesday. I put it in my Ronco "Showtime Rotisserie" for 45 minutes and heated up a can of mixed veggies and sliced new potatoes. To the mixed veggies I added some chopped onions and minced garlic, while to the potatoes I added some paprika.
The result is here:

The wine is Cabernet Sauvignon while the other glass holds lemonade. I don't have fancy candle sticks so an empty beer bottle fills in. :=3
The result? Very, very tasty.
Laugh if you want about Ronco products, but that rotisserie was a great find at a yard sale.
I did the fancy set up because it was Thanksgiving. Normally the pots the veggies were cooked in would be on the table, and there would be no place mat.
