What a way to start the day. :={

While waiting to get fuel, I was behind, and to the side of a Blazer/Bronco type vehicle. It started to back up, and then turn in my direction. I said to myself, "They're not going to stop." I tapped the horn to alert them of my presence, but it was to no avail. They kept coming and *CRUNCH*!

I was a little pissed because I thought their rear bumper impacted my hood, as I drive a Neon. They pulled up and a woman got out, as I did. She admitted that she didn't see me. There was no damage to my vehicle and we parted ways.

The gas jockey said when he looked she was rigid when she was backing up and never looked around. No wonder she didn't see me.

Well, I hope that is the worst that happens to me today. :=/

Might want to get the car checked out just in case there is internal damage. I don't know what rear-ending will do, but a hit from the front can do damage to the frame that makes the car totalled without the driver realizing.

Being she only tapped me while doing 2 or 3 mph I doubt anything major happened.

It couldn't hurt though. A little old lady hit me going like, 10 mph and it looked like all she did was break a little bit off of my bumper. But I noticed the back wheel felt funny and got it to the shop. She somehow managed to bend the shock/suspension thing on that back wheel near the bumper. My damage went from $500 to over $1,600.

So it can't hurt to make sure she didn't loosen any cords or anything!

I know that you all mean well, but I think everything is ok.

I mean she didn't even scratch the paint, or put a dent anywhere. It was more like a smack that you do when you slam the car door too hard. I don't believe the car even moved from the impact.

However, I will keep any eye and ear out for erroneous squeaks, squeals and feels. I did drive it to 30th Street Station afterward, ~33 miles at 80mph, and noticed nothing unusual.
