This post is something I've been thinking about for a while.
As I have told a few people I feel that we are in the end times.
While I don't consider myself psychic, some people might think I'm psychotic, I can get "feelings" about what will happen. I'm not saying I could pick lottery numbers (if I could the hotel would be started) or who is going to win a ball game, but I do get generic feelings. Just ask
skipai. One day he was sitting in my living room and I told him, "I see you back here in a year." He said he saw no way that was happening, but, guess what, he was back in a year.
Back during the Y2K scare I said, in 1998, "In 2005 we will be doing what we are doing now. This won't amount to much." Well, I was right.
People have asked what I see after 2012. My answer is, "Nothing! I do not get any impressions, good or bad. A total blank." Needless to say this is a bit disconcerting.
And after seeing what is happening in the world today I do have to wonder if the end is closer than we think. I don't want to be an alarmist, something I despise, but I want my thoughts made clear.
How do I feel about it? Ambivalent. While I hope it is not true, as I do want to build my hotel, I see no way that my actions will influence the out come one way or the other.
To quote Doris Day:
"Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be."

Date: 2011-04-05 02:58 pm (UTC)My friend, this is not the end times. And I can prove it in two ways. Way one is to ask you to name a single time in history where there were NOT earthquakes, volcanos, floods, wars, etc. You cannot, because there is no time in history without them. Thus this date is no different than all the other dates going back in recorded time.
Two is, if you follow the same book I do, the man himself says that we will not know the hour nor the day. Therefore anyone saying that they know when the end times is is, by divine definition, wrong.

Date: 2011-04-05 04:01 pm (UTC)The thing about flash forwards is that as we get older, they are less and less frequent. This has something to do with brain chemistry changing methinks, as I ahve no scientific explanation for the effect nor the change of frequency. But I have glimpsed past 2012 and noticed nothing different around 23~24. If the change of frequency is what you base that on, note that others flash forward less frequently with age as well. So don't jump to the conclusion that you aren't there.

Date: 2011-04-05 05:23 pm (UTC)But you know, the whole new cycle thing might just be a thing that blocks your senses for the time after. There is one thing I do know though. On the 22nd of December 2012 I will have an amazing 30th birthday, and the theme of my party will most definitely be "I survived the end of the world".

Maybe you can feel things beyond then, but your mind's blocking them because it's got a long hangover in it?

Date: 2011-04-06 01:28 am (UTC)It's easier to note the frequent upheavals, natural disasters etc now than it was in the past thanks to our 24/7 plugged in society. It's not that there are more of them, it's just that we hear about them almost instantaneously and in greater detail than ever before.
When the end does come, it will be, in my estimation, strictly at the hands of humanity. And what remains of the planet, assuming it wasn't blown to rubble, will chug merrily along without us, maybe giving some other critter a chance to hold the reins for a while. (I'm voting for lemurs.)
