Well, if the Shark Tank people say, "Yes", then I will be appearing on ABC's Shark Tank.

This is an effort to get investors for The Pullman Hotel, LLC.

One thing I have not been able to determine is where the program is filmed. I'm hoping in New York. Orlando may be a possibility, as it is done with cooperation with Sony. LA would be a trick to get to, but I would pull it off some how. Of course if they tape a show in either Atlantic City or Philadelphia then I'm in like flint. :=3

There's good and bad to this. While I haven't watched the show much, actually never watched a complete show, I've seen and heard enough to know you will not come out a total winner on this.

First realize they are hard core business persons. Their entire goal is to make money off you and your idea. They will possibly fund your venture but if you listen they always hold the controlling share.

Secondly you need to have all your ducks in a row because they will be trying to find any flaw in your plan. Be ready for the hardest interrogation you have ever had in your life.

Also be ready to at all cost maintain your cool. This applies to both what ever session they will put you through before accepting you to be on the show and most importantly in the show itself. You will need to find the right balance between standing your ground and giving in to certain demands.

When/if you go on remember that even if they don't agree to back your idea someone else watching may be interested in doing so. This has happen before from what I've heard.

There is also a dark side to being on the show. You will be presenting on national TV everything another person needs to carry out your plan. Someone may simply see this, like the idea and go ahead and implement it on their own. It's all a risk but so is any business venture.

In any case good luck with it.

Good luck with your project!

One small concern: there is a chain of Pullman Hotels in Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. Have you looked into what effect this would have on your use of the name?

The fact they haven't registered in the U.S. gives me free rein.

However, I do need to register my name here so I have prior claim to the name.

I checked with the U. S. Trademark search engine and the Pullman hotel chain has only registered the word "Pullman".

So that may mean I might have a problem. However as the full name of my hotel is "The Pullman Hotel" it might just fly.

I need to get a trademark attorney.
