it's "dangerous" when this lion is bored and has a phone handy. ;=3
That's right, Mako was the latest one to receive an unexpected phone call from me. ;=3
I know there are a few out there that do not wish to receive phone calls of a non-emergency type, and I will respect those wishes. As for the rest of you .... :=3
Oh, by the way, do you know what would even be more dangerous than a certain bored lion and a telephone?
Try a certain bored lion with the time and money to go traveling. ;=3
Just hope I don't hit the lottery. :=3
You have been warned. :=3P

Date: 2003-08-29 12:48 pm (UTC)Like erm. Standing with door open in just a towel and well, you know how towels are like being soooo unreliable if there is a gust of wind ;) *joke*
But since most US furs are so poor. I am safe from any sort of sneak visit *cackles*
Oh, sure...
Date: 2003-08-29 01:37 pm (UTC)Well, actually, the only time you've called was when I explicitly asked for it. And it was a good call, and enjoyable. Feel free to call again sometime, but the number's changed to 734-709-5496.
Anyway, since we talked, I've put some serious consideration into it, and really hope to see you at the Midwest Fur Fest! That said, I really wouldn't mind if you called so I can get some friendly advice from someone who has some idea what to expect.

Date: 2003-08-29 05:38 pm (UTC)Great to gab with you a bit today LK, sorry I was so distracted, we had all sorts of stuff going on all at the same time in the shop.
I'd love to run up North w/Scott and hang with you guys up there for a bit, but that's just not do-able :-/
That said, I'm kinda lightly penciled in for D*Con '04 in ATL. That will likely be the next time I'm out in this timezone. Dunno if that'll work out for me (or you) or not, but what the hell, it's something to look forward to in any case.
Oh! Since I have you by your tufted ears ;-) What kind of a lion sized bribe would it take to get a couple of pics of the engines in one of your trains? I mean the engines themselves, along with the electric motors 'n reduction gears 'n all the cool gear head bits you don't normally get to see?
Tnx for the call :-D

No bribe at all. Though you won't get to see much of the traction motor and gearing, as they are hung off the axles and totally enclosed. I'll see if I can find a local RR shop that has a traction motor that is sitting by itself, or on a truck (wheel set) that is sitting by its lonesome out from under a loco. No promises though. :=/
I'll see if I can make Dragon*Con, though MFM, which is the same weekend, has more appeal. ;=/
As far as not being able to chat long, don't worry about it. I understand that you were in the middle of your workday. Thanks for taking even that small part of your day just to gab for a bit.
Of course you can always call me at 856-625-2770 anytime. ;=3

Date: 2003-08-30 04:11 pm (UTC)Cool on the pics, anything that's reasonably simple to image and place on your web page or where ever is cool.
I got some wrenching to get done, and tomorrow we're doing some magic stuff :)
