Logic versus emotions in one mind
Jun. 24th, 2014 02:23 pmHow is it the human mind can offer two vastly differing points of view, to the point of being mutually exclusive, of the same thing, at the same time.
Now I have a viewpoint of one thing and one side is L, for logical, and E, for emotional.
One part of my brain says, rightly so, that L is correct and E is false. However the other part of my brain strongly insists that E is correct, even though the facts support L. It always seems that the emotional side wins, no matter how much the logical part tries to convince it otherwise.
Am I truly that mad? Am I having a "normal" experience? I, truthfully, don't know, as I am locked in my own mind and cannot tell how others are thinking. And, yes, I hide it well.
