my birth(whelp)day.
Yipee! :=/
As another year passes into the record books, and I'm still a failure as compared to my friends, family and just plain joes. :={
I knew life wasn't going to be easy, but being 46 and living hand to mouth is not enjoyable.
I'm useless and hopeless. :={

Sucesses in life can be measured in many different ways. Some people measure sucess by the amount of money they make, the number of things they own, or the number of certificates on a wall. Others measure it based on the number of someone's friends, the quality of their friendships, and their ability to have the help and support from others when they are down.
I think it may be quite possible that your may be comparing apples to oranges. I don't make the kind of money that many of my friends do however, I don't hate my job. I don't have many things that others would consider essential like nice furniture, a nice home, or a really nice car. Yet, I consider myself very sucessful because I have friends.
Material items only require one thing, money. Anyone can obtain them with the right amount of green. A really sucessful person has the friends to actually share their experiences with, share their material items with, and share their true feelings with. While many things can be purchased, true friendships cannot.
Are you so sure that your really a failure?
