1. What vehicle do you drive?
1950 Budd RDC, M-407
Oh! You mean my car!
1997 Hyundai Elantra
2. How long have you had it?
The Budd isn't mine, it belongs to the RR since 1987, IIRC. The Hyundai? Since April of '99 (bought used)
3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle?
Twin Detroit Diesel 6-110's. Oh, the Hyundai. I guess it would be reliabilty and the ability to go where I point it (sometimes where 4x4's fear to tread. :=3 )
4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle?
The 23M brakestand. Give me a 26B1 anytime. Oh, the Hyundai. CD player refuses to work most times. :={
5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now?
Either a F7/9, E8/9 or a F40PH.
Oh, you mean a regular car. Then probably a van or something like that for working for the railroad. Otherwise I'm happy with the Hyundai.
It could've been worse. I could've typed in things about the Canal Moveable Bridge. ;=3

There is also the CN Extra east, I saw it two weeks ago down there. The interesting thing about this train is that its so long that the entire line has to be cleared before it leaves. This train is a container carrier thats just under 2 and a half miles long.

Date: 2003-10-05 12:29 pm (UTC)And, if money really was no option, wouldn't you rather have a PA-4, or better yet, put together your own PA-? with modern frame/chassis, trucks, with DC/AC traction, and where the steam gennie should be, a nice shiny CAT turning a HEP unit? Oh, and don't forget that yummy new V-16 2-51 producing a little over 3000 effective HP through the generator... *drool*
Ooohhh yeah.
Or, hell, you could go a little more practical and say an FA or something like that...
*shrugs*
Hope everything's going well down there...
