Phone update

In reference to this post: http://lowen-kind.livejournal.com/395938.html it will cost me $405 to get my cell phone turned back on. Note that this is for 3 months of back bills. :={

The problem with Skype or Google voice is my credit rating and no other phone service for verification.

The main problem with no phone is that prospective employers can't get in touch with me, as I found out today.

Would it be less costly to reactivate the land line instead of the cell?

Additionally, there is the possibility of one of those pre-paid phones that one can use on a temporary basis, just to have a phone.

Possibly on the land line, but all the applications have the cell #.

That goes for the pre-paid phones, and of course it costs $$s. :=/

Well, you can get a cheap-ass tracphone for under $20, but like you said the applications reference the cell. Maybe your brothers or dad can help? You say you don't like asking, but help won't come unless you do.

You have to start looking for welfare type help Don.

You can get a free (somewhat limited use) cell phone, an EBT card (food stamps) and living assistance. And of course set up a free email account with gmail if you don't have one. You need to be able to stay in contact.

Swallow your pride and DO IT! The how-to is all on the internet.

If my idiot younger brother who does not seem to want to work can do this, you can too - you at least will want to get out of your rut (I hope!)

Hopefully you will not loose the internet too, but if you do - head for your library and use their connection.

This is what it's for, in case you do stumble in life. Use it to get yourself back onto your feet again. No one will ever think any less of you whatsoever.
