I came home from being down at the railroad and Maggie didn't greet me at the door as usual.

This has happened before and she sometimes comes bolting around the corner as if to say, "I'm sorry I didn't meet you at the door." If she doesn't do that after I call her name about 5 times she comes out of hiding from whereever she is.

Tonight, none of the above happened. I searched her normal "hidey holes" and she wasn't there. I called her name numerous times and no answer.

Now the front door was closed when I got home and there were no windows that she could've got out of.

Now my front door does "pop-open" from time to time, if it isn't closed properly.

Now two things could've hapened. The door came open and Maggie got out and someone shut the door for me. Or, more unsettling, in a way, is that she has crossed over the "rainbow bridge" and her body is somewhere in the house. ;={

Anyone who has visited my lair knows I'm not the best of house keepers and I'm going to tear apart the house until I'm sure she is not here.

I don't know what would be worse; finding her body or not having her come back. At least with finding her body I would have closure and know that she is in a better place; though if I don't I can always believe she's in a happier home somewhere.

So this lion is with out his pride mate.

If she does not show up, one way or the other, I'm not getting another pussy cat. This lion couldn't take the stress of losing another pride mate. :={

That’s really sad. I hope you find Maggie. :(

How old is your cat, anyway?

-Gatorman

I'll bet she's hiding around somewhere...

Ack! Hope you find her.
Do search every inch of space possible, though. Cats are champion hiders, and tuck themselves into odd places.
Damn. Hope she's just hiding for the hell of it.
Good luck!

*hug* I hope you find her soon.

Cats will sometimes go off to hide just if they aren't feeling well. Our cats hide out sometimes if they have an upset stomach or a bad hairball they're working on.

If she did get out, hopefully she'll find her way home again.

Maggie! Come back!

I wouldn't worry. Cats have this way of just showing back up again when you least expect it. She'll be back.

Gosh, I hope she's okay!

Maybe she just managed to sneak out somehow?

Cats can be sneaky! :o
