Update on Maggie
Oct. 16th, 2015 10:52 amFirst I want to thank everyone who donated to help Maggie.
I took her to the vet on Wednesday. As we were there I "bombed" the house with 3 4 hour foggers.
The vet said she was a little anemic and he would keep her for a few hours to do a few test and a possible enema.
When I went to pick her up the vet told me that her hemacrit level (red blood cell count) was 20 and it should no less than 29. So no meds for her. They gave her some anesthesia and checked her. She had some fecal matter, but not much and gave her some flea and anti-worming meds.
After I looked at her chart I got a shock. I was under impression she was 18 years old. I was totally wrong. She is actually 19 years 9 months old. A lot of people at the vet could not believe she is that old, and remarked that she looked really good, even though she wasn't feeling her best.

Not bad looking for a 20 year old cat. :=3
Yesterday she was still a bit lethargic, but was moving around. She was eating and drinking, but not going the bathroom all the much.
Today she is much better. When I got up she was her old self and raced me into the kitchen for her food. She even sat on my lap when I sat in the recliner, something she hasn't do in a while.
She finally had a bowel movement, something that had me worried as she hasn't had one in a few days. So she is definitely getting better. She'll probably be her old self again in a few days.
So thanks again for your help.
