As [livejournal.com profile] mooncat has pointed out, IIRC, I'm in a Jadeclaw game, finally.

Now can anyone guess what I play? :=3

Well, of course, I'm the honorable lion cleric, who can't bribe for beans. :=3

His name is Lowen Kind (pronounced kin), and is German for lion's child. He is my stock lion anthro at 8' 5" at ears and 450 lbs, though he is strictly an anthro and cannot morph like my character LionkingCMSL can.

I had created him back in 2001 after reading the Ironclaw RPG book. There was some consternation about him being too large for a beginning character.

Warning: Ironclaw geekiness below! ;=3

He is 26 hands tall and weighs 34 stone, with an "Encumbrance" that is off the scale! I had taken the Ironclaw tables and figured out what size LK would be. His race is D12 with a Body, Speed, Mind, and Will, of 2D12 & D10; D12 & D4; D8; and D8 respectively. His lift bonus is 12 with a strength of 2D12 & D8. Add to that his Claws and Teeth that have both 4D12, D10, D8 & D4, a soak of 2D12, plus other large numbers for the other stats and added "Great Strength", you can see where some might think I had created a "superlion" that could not be defeated and could defeat anyone at will.

Well, this is where I played it "safe". He is a honorable cleric that only has a staff as a weapon and only a shield to protect him, as he wears no armor.

I play him with great reserve. He knows he is bigger than everyone else, for the most part, so he is restrained in his actions. He would rather talk than fight.

THe other players in the Jadeclaw game think he is well suited for a beginning charater, especially with the way I play him.

Well, I had also said that he was from another country, Perrus. This is a country that I had made up along with his "bio" in which he is a prince and third in line for the throne.

After the third session with Mooncat, I decided to describe Perrus in more detail. I think I went a bit overboard though. I have not only described the basic culture and its laws, I have also figured out thier currency, calendar and I have started to draw a map of the place. ;=3

When this lion gets bored, watch out as I will start figuring things out. Like doing a chart for the temperatures and wetness for Philadelphia, PA for Dec 24 & 25th since 1874. I did this because I wanted to see how many "white Christmases" there were. For the record those two days average about 41 degrees F and if there is moisture it is more likely going to be rain.

LionkingCMSL: “He is 26 hands tall and weighs 34 stone”

For those of you who don’t know the measurements of a hand and a stone:
1 hand = 4 in. and 1 stone = 14 lbs.

So he’s actually 8’8” and 476 lbs. WHOO!

Well, I rounded him up so not to have decimal places. Though I could've made him only 25 hands (8' 4") tall and 32 stone (448 lbs). ;=3

Ooh, tell us about the currency. Fictional money stokes my geek engine.

Perrusian money ;=3

The monetary system is as follows: base unit is the "royal", with 2 semiroyals (semis), 4 quadroyals (quads),10 demiroyals (demis), 20 royalette (ettes), or 100 centiroyals (cents) to a royal. There are also 5, 10, 25, and 50 royal coins in circulation, but the higher the denomination the rarer the coin. The royal is a circular coin is ~1.5" in diameter with the smaller coins losing about 1/8" in diameter until the centiroyal is ~ 7/8" in diameter. The larger coins gain 1/4" in diameter until the 50 royal is ~ 2.5" in diameter. The monetary system is based on gold and the issuance of new coinage is strictly regulated.

I couldn't figure what a 20 sided tghing was calld, so I went with the 'ettes" just to different.

BTW, I went to a gaming store to buy some more dice and they had a couple of 100 sided dies there. I wanted to get one, but I couldn't justify the $7.95 cost for something I really didn't need. Though I might get one later. ;=3

Oh speaking of dice, I can't remember if you said you needed a dice bag or not? I've some spare fabric around here someplace if you do. :)
