It seems that someone has registered capemayfurmeet.org at GoDaddy using their "Private Registration" service that blocks anyone from seeing who registered it.

I have the money to do a one year registering, but with this new wrinkle I can't. Damn!

I, however did get capemayfurmeet.info and had it forwarded to capemayfurmeet.com . :=3

So it looks like capemayfurmeet.com will be the official CMFM website now.

In case you were wondering, I was planning to use the .org site as a pointer to the .com, or a possible back up site, just in case something happened to the .com site.

That's just... odd. It's not the kind of domain name that one heads out and buys thinking, "There are a plethora of uses for a domain called capemayfurmeet.org".

Yahoo (http://dir.yahoo.com/Society_and_Culture/Cultures_and_Groups/Furries/Conventions/) links to the cybersquatted .org. I was going to use Yahoo's update form (currently at http://add.yahoo.com/fast/change ) so they would link to capemayfurmeet.COM but I thought
1) there was possibility that you might have a new description of Cape May Fur Meet to give to Yahoo
2) Yahoo's change form asks for the e-address of the contact person for URL .. and I didn't feel like impersonating someone, no matter how well-intentioned.
