Monday has dawned ...
Sep. 6th, 2004 08:49 amand be assured I'm not going to do anything irreversible.
First, this lion always accepts hugs from friends, and I consider everyone who was concerned as a friend. :=3
le_loup_peint I consider you a close friend, though we only really met at AC2K. You keep that tiger of yours in line. ;=3
Also I pray that everything goes wonderful for you in the coming months.
As for my feelings, I'm on the rebound. Slow but sure.
I have talked to a few friends, especially those that are part of the "Dirt Den Inn Denizens".
As I said before, I'm not "happy, happy - joy, joy" yet, but then again if I went from one extreme to the other it would be cause for alarm also.
Funny thing is when I was working at the RR Sat. & Sun. I was happier. Maybe it was the fact I was doing something useful and not just sitting in front of a computer. Also yelling at the boaters, through the amplified hailer, for the stupid things they were doing was a great stress reliever. I might have gotten angry for their wanton disregard of marine law, but, in the end, I walked away from the bridge and if they did something stupid it was their own fault, not mine. BTW, I did call the NJ State Police - Marine Division on a wave runner. It was a father with two sons on one. First no "PWC's" are allowed in the canal. Second he was jumping wakes, and he was doing this in the vicinity of the bridge. If he wants to kill or injure himself, fine, but I will not allow him to put two children at risk because of his stupidity. :=/
As the above shows, I'm channeling my anger to more constructive means.
To all those that were D*C and MFM, I wish I could've been there, but the job, more than money, stopped me from going.
I also think that is part of my problem. I need a full weekend off, which I've not had since we started running for the season, to do what I want to do. No matter, after Hallowe'en, I'll have a full month off, unless we start running freight. That won't be so bad, as the trains won't cross the bridge and we'll have a pool of engineers and conductors to pull from.
Hopefully freight will start in a month or so, and that'll help my finances, a lot.
Well, enough rambling from me.
I'll be posting when the mood strikes. :=3

Date: 2004-09-06 10:42 pm (UTC)I hope to be there as a dealer to pitch Cape May Fur Meet.
There, hopefully, will be t-shirts for sale to help off-set the cost of the meet. :=3
BTW, I may need crash space as my normal gang of four, that I crash with, will not be making it this year. ;={

Date: 2004-09-14 11:49 pm (UTC)I'm worthless for council anyway... (I get very depressed myself)
Good to see your channeling your emotions in a positive direction.
(You probably saved quite a few lives)
