Now what?

I'm sitting back in the tub relaxing when all of the sudden the pump motor quits and the water stops flowing. :={

What the hell?

I lean forward and shut off the water and say aloud, "It can't be the electric, because that bill is up to date. Though there could be other reasons why the power went off (i.e. someone hitting a pole)."

I get out of the tub, towel off and look into my bedroom and that light is still on (I didn't turn the light on in the bathroom).

"Hell," I think, "that means the pump probably went south. Jim (my landlord) is going to love to hear this." :=/

This is not good for many reasons, one of which is I'm in arrears on my rent and gas bill. Jim understands about my situation with the RR and has let me slide as long as I pay him something every so often (like every other week or so).

Now I'm really in a jam. I don't want to confront him about the pump dieing, but I need my water.

I'm holding out a slight hope that somehow I lost one leg of the electric coming into the house and it will come back on shortly. I'll wait until tomorrow until I tell Jim what happened.

Did you check the circuit breaker on the off chance it tripped?

As my most recent post says it was most likely a leg that went out into the house. THe pump came back on by itself.

Being the CB box is in my bedroom closet, which backs up to the bathtub (though the box itself is not on the "wet wall"), I'm sure I would've heard the breaker trip, as the pump is 220V and those breakers do, normally, make a pretty good "thunk" when they trip.
