Now back to renders and objects. ;=3
Nov. 12th, 2004 08:12 amFirst though, I have no idea why I'm spending so much time on objects for this one house.
I have a couple of other houses, plus the Lion's Den that I could be designing stuff for, but this house has all my attention.
Could it be that a "higher power" is trying to tell me something?
Anyway, I needed a source of lighting for the 2nd floor balcony and thought of a few ideas. Then it occured to me to use track lights.
At first I was going to mount them on the ceiling, but being the walls are 10' high, I figured I could mount the track at the 9' 6" level and still throw the light where it was needed and where I wanted, to achieve the look I wanted.
So, after taking one of the lamps off my existing track lighting system, doing the measurements, I came up with:

I can, and have, move the lamp assembly separate from the mounting post, to achieve any angle I may need.
Also the bezel is a scale 1/16th of an inch thick. I didn't model the light bulb, as the "radial" light source, from Bryce, works just fine.
I have imported the house, with lights, into Bryce 4 and put light sources into the housings.
This gives me a good idea on how the lighting will look. ;=3
I hope people find these renders interesting. I know I actually find it fun to create the objects, sometimes from nothing more than idea, and then see them rendered.
Now that is a sense of accomplishment. ;=3
