Another view of that balcony shot ...
Nov. 12th, 2004 04:39 pmthis time with a plant and picture added:

I turned up the ambient lighting a notch so it wouldn't be so dark.
The feeling now is like an overcast day, not the dead of night.
The only things I didn't "make" were the tree (a stock Bryce item) and the planter (simply a cylinder scaled down and colored terra cotta).
The picture is something I "made" as I took it back in '84 or so at the Philly zoo. As some visitors to my lair can attest, I do have a large photo poster of that picture.
The addidtion of the plant (thanks to
the_gneech for suggesting it) and the picture adds some life to the scene. ;=3
It almost looks like a live video feed and I'm half expecting someone to walk into the scene. :=3

Shouldn't that be illuminated too ?

Date: 2004-11-13 04:43 am (UTC)In this scene, no.
There is no lamp that is directly lighting it.
As in my real house, the only light that would shine on it would be indirect lighting, or the sun at the proper angle.
Now if the lamp hanging in the dining room, and/or its twin in the living room, were lit, then that poster would be lit better.

Date: 2004-11-13 04:56 am (UTC)In fact I was entertaining the idea of locating a halogen style lamp on the wall opposite the poster and have one of those tightly focused spots illumating the poster.
That will be in the future however.
