Dec. 15th, 2004 07:07 pmbecause I've been busy and nothing much to report.
However, I have been feeling a might creative though.
As some of you know I'm in a multi author sci-fi writing group (for lack of a better term) and I've designed my own space craft, the Lion's Den.
I've done some 3D renderings of the ship, and posted them here, but one thing I never got around to doing was modeling the planetfall stairways.
The rear ones would be straight forward, in design, as they are like standard staircases that swing up. That's been done before, so no biggie. The upward angle of the lower bow after being even with the lower hull structure.
Well, last night I got to thinking I should try and model them, just to see how the would look.
After a few false starts I found that they aren't that hard to do. :=3
Here is a rendering of a certain tigress climbing said stairs into the ship:

The reflections on the stairs them selves are due to the reflectiveness of the stairs.
Now if my writing muse would kick in sometime soon I would really be happy. :=3
