A re-render of my last 3D work

Ok, here is a re-render of the one I did yesterday (click on pic for larger image):




As you will note that this image is darker, but not so dark as not to be able to see anything.

The render was done in "Super Fine Anti-alias" and it took 10 hours 22 minutes and 56 seconds, again, mostly while I slept.

Also it seems that Leonard and Tiffany have been joined by Drezzer and Leona. I know that Drez doesn't have a black leather jacket. I couldn't find one, so I gave him a bowling shirt that could be opened.

I also changed the "angle of view" back to the default 60deg to give it a more natural appearance and to eliminate the light fixtures, which account for over 3/4 of the rendering time. In other words, this image, if the FOV wasn't changed, probably would've taken closer to a day to do.

For the curious, the stats on the Bryce 5 file are (so far):
Objects: 713
Polygons: 584,089
Size of file: 76.9 meg

There are so many meshes that the fly-out selection list doesn't list them all. For Drez, Leona and their clothes I have to select them directly.

I wish I new how to make 3D models with some degree of skill.

Well, the structure and bar was constructed using AutoCAD 2000, which has 3D operations built in.

That way everything is to scale, and, to me, a lot easier to construct then using Bryce's modelling tools.

That's one of the reasons I do most of the big renders while I'm asleep. The 'puter isn't doing anything other than sitting there and I'm not waiting for it to get done so I can do something else. ;=3
